How to press my hair?

Hi! this is my first post. I am so excited to find a site like this!
I have been growing out my relaxer since august and I am starting to have a hard time getting my new growth straight. I would like to press my hair. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions?

. Coconut oil is gerat to get a good press. I usually use this along with a cermic flat iron to get my daugter's naturals straight.
