How to maintain an overall curly style

Ok...maintain straight styles, wrap. How do you maintain a curly style. Say I wanted to use a wave iron to imitate a Jennifer Freeman style. How long would that last with setting lotion and how do I keep the style looking fresh?

A very loose high ponytail works for me.

Sleep in a satin cap. You may also benefit from using a little spritz now and then. I like my curls to be hard, because that way, they last longer. But, I try not to use it more than 3 times in a week. I usually use it once after I first take out the rollers/straws/plaits or whatever. After that, I use it on a "if needed" basis, which is definitely NOT everyday!

Same here. But for the best way to keep it looking 'fresh' is to style it that way evey few days or so.
