Phyto ladies I need your help. There is a Phyto 1 that does not straighten my hair at all and a Phyto 2 that makes me bone straight. My question is, what do you mix in your Phyto 2 to get a nice texlaxed but straighter than phyto 1 result.

please help :)

I've never used Phyto 2, only Phyto 1. Have you tried using Phyto 1 and just leaving it on longer or straightening/smoothing more? I don't mix stuff in my relaxers - I would just leave Phyto 1 on longer. It's so gentle, it's not likely to cause any problems.

No I have never tried to leave phyto 1 on longer. So about how long do you leave yours on? Also, do you have texlaxed hair or straight ng with texture to the rest of your hair? Thats what I am going after.

Thanks for your help!

I go for bone straight hair, but of course with Phyto 1, it never gets bone straight, so it ends up having some wave left to it, if that makes sense. So my hair is more straight than texlaxed.....

I have used both and had the same issue. I would suggest using the Index 2 and either leaving it on for a shorter time as the previous poster mentioned or cutting it with some oil. Mixing oil into retards the straighting process.

I believe that most people who intentionally texturize or "texlax" as people here like to say, do mix oil into the relaxer to gaurantee that it doesn't process more than you want it to. If you don't want to mix it then you can just put extra oil on your hair (roots). I think it would have a similar effect. Good Luck!

I had the same problem. My hair laughed at Phyto I so I coated with my prepoo oil and used Phyto II as directed.

I just did a touch up yesterday and got my best results yet with Phyto II. Phyto I left me WAY under-processed :nono:

What I did differently has put 1 vial of Cerarepair Hydratherapie, 1/16 cup of Walnut Oil and 1 teaspoon of SAA into 1/2 of the Phyto II relaxer.

The results are fabulous! I am under the dryer now and will post pics later.

Thanks! I can't wait to see your results!

Do anyone of you notice alot of shedding intially with Phyto vs other relaxers?

I used to shed quite a bit. That is completely gone now. What I do is after I am done relaxing my hair, mix some Garlic Oil and Aloe Vera and apply it to the scalp. I then apply Duo Tex to my hair, sleep with it in over night and rinse in the morning.

Zero shedding.
