..... how to fight them when dreaming

hello everyone,
i have been a member for a while but never posted, but i have learn so much all i can say is .........thank you!

i have a question if someone can answer it would really bless me
because it's been on my mind all day.



i had a bad dream and in it i was trying to fight off something evil( didn't see it but i knew it was there ) and i was trying to call JESUS; i tried to say
IN THE NAME OF JESUS;i even when as far as saying NO; STOP;
BUT NO WORD CAME OUT...it was like my mouth was stuffed with cottonerplexed but i heard myself saying them in my mind, what did i do wrong?
pls help because i want to know how to fight the (D) while i'am sleep too!
i pray before going to bed:read the bible: plead the blood over me and my family; the only thing i did different was read 91 Psalms silent.

I use to have problems with the enemey taunting my dreams. I'm glad you are praying before you go to sleep. Sometimes you have to war in the Spirit before you can rest in His peace. When you pray are you taking authority over your sleep and declaring a peaceful night of rest?

I agree.

OP, as I was reading your post, I kept getting the sense that there is something in your home that needs to be removed. Something that shouldn't be there. I don't know what it is, but the Holy Spirit will reveal that to you. Please let me know, ok?

In your dreams things are often magnified to get your attention. Awhile back I used to have this dream where this large, black, looming thing would be waiting to attack me and I would be so scared. Finally one night I could feel it's presence and I said to it to come out of hiding, I am not afraid of you, let's do this, come on. It never revealed itself, went away, and I never had that dream again.

thanks for responding..that shook me up a little, i was like what is in my
house that shoudn't be here erplexed ....looking arounderplexed
and i did ask the Holy Spirit to reveal it to me

in the dream i had , i saw a lady who i use to know she was the wife
of a pastor in a chruch i use to go to..she past away a couple of years ago
in the dream i don't know why but i ask her why she had to die, then
l a black screen separated us, then i started tussle with these things i coudn't see..and i woke up tired and irrated..that dream bothered me
because that was 1 of 2 strange dream that night, i did ask God the meaning
of this dream and i wating for him to reveal the answer.....thank you ladies
for your responses...

I just had a crazy dream myself.

To make a long story short, I ended up in my house in the basement and there was a deer there that just jumped up and stormed past me and up the stairs. I ran upstairs and tried to let it out but it was jumping everywhere so I ran into my mom's room to try and tell her but I couldn't speak. Then I ended up running out of her room and 3 men came into the front door, very scary looking men so I ran into my room where my husband was sleeping and jumped into bed. I also started hearing Catholic type music. I was laying next to what I thought was my husband and this thing started attacking me with it's arms and I was trying so hard to scream but I couldn't and I couldn't get away. It was just a force over me, I couldn't make a sound then it started digging into my side and that's when I grabbed it's arms and told myself "ok calm down, slowly open your eyes" and I could see myself slowly opening my eyes and seeing a ceiling fan (we have a ceiling fan in our bedroom) and that's when I woke up. As soon as I jumped up I cleared my throat to see if I could make sound but it really frightened me and brought me to tears and the first thing I thought about is this forum.

My mom is my best friend and the first person I'll go to talk to and she's a church going woman but in the dream I couldn't make a sound. I've been sick today as well but I haven't taken and meds and I got a job offer today as well.

Anyway, thanks for letting me share. I'm going back to bed.

Wow, sound like you really had a terrible dream.

In Genesis 40 the story begins with the Cupbearer and the Baker who had a dream and they were very frightened of their dreams because they didn't know what the dream meant.

However, when they told Joseph that there was no one to interpret their dreams for them, Joseph said this "Do not interpretations belong to God?" Genesis 40: 8

Joseph told them to tell him the dream and He was able to interpret their dreams because the Lord revealed the answer to him because Joseph was the Lord's servant.

Dreams are not out of God's reach where He won't be able to tell you what this dream that you had meant. I believe it was a very significant dream and something you should pray and ask the Lord to reveal to you, and I believe He will do just that...show you what it meant.

I read a book recently about dreams and visions and it talked about how to discern a dream sent by God versus a demonic type dream. If the dream is terrifying, and in your being attacked, and it's not ehorting you, building your faith or warning you (God is a gentleman and will not use night terrors to speak to you. If you read about both Joseph and Daniel, notice the dreams theyt interpreted, even the negative ones weren't demonic attack type dreams) These are from a demonic force. I used to have night terrors but here's what helps me. I NEVER run away. If something is coming at me as soon as I realize I'm dreaming, I turn around and run towards it, get right up in it's face and stare it in the eye and speak in tongues. It alwas fades away. You can speak in tongues in your sleep ladies. Even when you can make no noise, if you pray in the Holy Spirit nothing can silence him. The dermon always runs/fades away and I end up in a woodsey area by a river (Psalms 23) and commune with the Lord and wake up peaceful and empowered.

You see the devil HATES to hear you speak in tongues because thaat is the Holy Ghost praying through you i.e. God himself. When you turn around and stare them down no matter how scared you may be, they disperce. The enemy doesn't want you to know the power you have over him so the chump tries to psyche you out in your sleep. But just as a when awake, Godis with you, God is in you, and the enermy is terrified if you know this. I rarely have a bad dream anymore and if I do, the FIRST thing I do is speak in tongues and the enemy flees!
