If anyone can explain how to create this style using extensions, please explain it to me. My hair needs a break. The thing that I can't figure out is how to attach the extensions without it slipping. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Hi diamoness.

I saw your pictures, and you have a nice amount to work with. If you don't mind me asking, why are you interested in using extensions? Just curious.

Also what kind of hair are you using? Are you attempting to twist your hair when it's blow-dried or straightened in any way? Two-strand twists work best on fluffy/frizzy/kinky etc. type hair so if you are relaxed, I would just let your hair dry without doing much to it. Maybe I light blowdry so that your hair will hold the twists more.

There are various hair stylists/braiders that can create two strand twist hair styles. I think they use certain types of synthetic hair like toyakalon, and another kind (don't know the name) that has even more of a kinky texture. Your hair doesn't have to be natural to wear this hairstyle, you can have a relaxer. How the hair is attached (twisted on hair) is a mystery to me. Right now, I have senegalese twists. I used kanekelon hair. The stylist braided my hair at the base, and then twisted it down. She braided it at the base, because she said the style would last longer. I'm pretty sure that you can find a stylist that not only braids hair, but also does twists as well. HTH

I want to use extensions because I want the twists to look thick, also I want a mixture of colors, not just black. The style also lasts longer when extensions are added. I don't want to go to a stylist b/c they cost too much. I do all of my own styles with extentions, braids, flat twists, cornrows, weave, wigs ect. and I know I could get the style I want without a stylist. I use a naturalaxer, so my hair IS quite kinky when I just wash and let it dry. I will try braiding it at the base and twisting the rest. Thanks! /images/graemlins/smile.gif
