I see alot of you ladies wereing the beautiful buns and I would like to know how they are done .Is it easy to maintain without a lot of manipulation?
Thanks Ladies!!

SexyC, I put my hair in a ponytail then fold back pieces and pin them down and under. I have instructions in my protective album. I hope that helps.

Lorraine ,
You have some pretty hair .Looks like it grows fast too. I have to see your regimine
Oh, thank you. When I went home my mom thought it was a weave. Not sure if that's a compliment or not, I was looking a bit raggedy. My regimen is in my siggy. Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck with that bun. Be sure to post pics if you like. Also, I don't want to throw them out there (but I will) but Dreemsold, Bodicea, and Sengshick all have gorgeous bun in their avatars. :)

I use a stocking as a filler for my donut bun. I plan to get a whirl-a-style so that I wont have to use the stocking anymore.

To make a donut-shaped bun, I hold my hair at my nape as if I am going to make a ponytail, then twist the hair up and around in a counterclockwise motion to form the bun. I tuck the ends into the underside of the bun.

I don't use scrunchies or pins, but will sometimes add hair sticks for decoration. I've also seen some nice things here at LHCF that ladies have done by adding scarves and barrettes that I'd like to try. :)

Thanks ladies!!
I will post my pictures as soon as I get them developed.I'm making some progress thanks to ya!!

Hi

I use an old sock and knee-hi (black) with the toe cut out. I roll it into a donut(I'll be picking up some satin or silk scraps from Walmart to cover my donut)

I follow through like the other ladies: slide donut on to ponytail, fan hair out over donut and use ponytail holder and slide it over donut to tuck hair in. Tuck lose hair around bun and add accessories.

I'll be putting full visual instructions in my Fotki soon...will let you know..

I do my bun the same as Renee but I use a scruchie to make a ponytail first, then form the bun and tuck the ends under. I dont use any fillers.

1) gather hair in ponytail, use ouchless band to secure. Apply moisturizer to length of hair.

2) fan hair out w/ fine tooth comb (meaning length of hair is split in half and fanned out and in a circle ie. donut)

3) take heaviest section (usually bottom) and lightly twist under while gathering more hair around in a cirlce to create the donut. Always i have ends left out so i just tuck them under. The trick is to gather it loosely, that way, the bun is more full and much bigger.

4) Goody hair pains secure (use 3 - 12, 4 and 8 o'clock).

5) Elasta QP hair sheen.
