Okay question, i a relatively new to this board, but old. I originally registered back in 2002, but seem to have lost my pass word. but nevertheless, I'm back. So just to jog my memory what is clarifying?
clarifying is kinda like "deep shampooing"...you use a clarifying shampoo to get all the CRAP out of your hair that you've been using in-between shampoos. it's like "starting over". i remember reading it's also a good way to clear out "-cones" (someone correct me).
i never clarified. i always thought touch-ups provided enough "clarification"...then i woke up! lol...ie, i came to this board.
so i clarified today for the first time. i used suave. my hair was SO SOFT, i repeat SO INCREIDBLY SOFT right after using it! you would have thought it was overpriced conditioner for how soft it felt!
so i don't know if it's due to the suave brand name, or just clafiying itself. we'll see!

I love Suave too! When I first used it, I was afraid that it would make my hair feel hard or dry but it was the complete opposite! However, I still like to follow up my clarifying shampoo with a moisturizing shampoo. I usually clarify every 2-3 weeks but last night I felt like I needed to clarify. I had so much build up in my hair. I definitely felt the difference after I clarified.
