I rarely start threads but hopefully I'll get some responses. After trying Kimmaytube's leave-in on my relaxed hair, I realized there definitely is something to using products at a proper pH because my hair airdried very smooth and soft (better than ever before!). I had previously bought a sample size of Roux Porosity Control but on Black Friday I picked up the full size from Sally's. There was another thread a while ago that talked about whether you use it first or last and I decided to use it last after reading that thread. I bought it for the same purpose that I tried the Kimmaytube recipe:
- to ensure my strands had returned to a proper pH
- the cuticles were closed and at the proper porosity.
I used my regular leave-in (Bee Mine Deja's Hair Milk ) without the KT recipe - mainly because I didn't feel like mixing it up and the hair milk is a lil too expensive for me to do that with IMO. Well it worked - my hair really DOES feel a lot softer and smoother after airdrying just as it did with the KT recipe but without the extra greasiness/oiliness. As with her recipe I did not have to moisturize for 2 days after my wash day again!

For me, using the Roux PC for a few minutes right before my final rinse in the shower is a lot easier than mixing the KT leave-in and gave me the same results. So now I am wondering is it okay to use the Roux PC weekly? How often do you use it?
