How often do you trim?

I'm still not clear on this. Should I trim after every touch-up or when my ends need it?

I found it best to trim when my ends needed it...because by taking extra care and doing the protective hairstyles my ends were healthy and were able to last past my re-touch

If you are trying to grow your hair to its maximum length I say only trim when needed. All the cute stuff and blunt cuts can wait till later!

Twice a year. I can't stand thin, fuzzy, or easy tangled ends. I think I'd rather have beautiful hair than long hair. Hoping to get both tho. :D

ETA: I dust often tho.

ITA: I'm not cutting until I get to bsl
This is like a personal challenge for me.
The last time I cut/dust my hair was Nov 05.

Same here! Until i reach my ultimate goal, i will dust on an "as-needed" basis. And, since i protect my ends and moisturize like crazy..... i can usually go for longer intervals without dusting/trimming.

Once i reach my goal, i will most likely get a blunt cut, as i do think this looks really nice. But i am not going to sacrafice the inches until this time.

I self trim and probably too often..I've now tried to cut it back to trimming with relaxers only..about every 3mos..(I'm going 4 mos till my next touch-up this time)..I just did a relaxer and trim and I still saw major growth..so trimming hasn't hurt my overall growth whatsoever.
