The Fruit of the Spirit, that sounds interesting. I would like to study that myself, what scriptures are you currently reading? I just recently purchased a book "How to Study the Bible for yourself" by Tim Lahaye.
Galations 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
I decided to break each individual "fruit" down and into sections. This week I am focusing on love
Love and our relationship with God
1 John 4:16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.
Romans 8:39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1John 4:20 If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.
Our love for God
Deuteronomy 6:5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
1John 5:3 This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome
The (second) greatest commandment
Mathew 22:39 'Love your neighbor as yourself.
Luke 6:35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.
God's love for us
John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
And then I journal and do life application.
