I'm talking about general maintenance - not special occasions or once in a while 'do's . . .

I probably put in about 30 minutes a day . . . looking at all these gorgeous hair photos is making me think I need to do some more :ohwell: Shoot, I may have to add every-other-day co-washes with rollersets (a la macherieamour) . . . .

Just wondering how much time you put in

Daily? Under 20 minutes.

Twice a month is the 'big' hair doing time, and that can take me - hrmm, I should time how long I actually spend 'doing' my hair vs. how long I have stuff sitting 'in' my hair - but I'd say I spend at least 4 hours, possibly 6.... So, over a month, no more than 24 hours on the head, I would say.

Too long I must say.

I find that I moisturize better when I section my hair with control clips and do each section. And since I started massaging my scalp with oil, it all just seems to take too long for me.

I only wash and condition once a week so those days are not too bad vs. the time when I used to do it twice a week.

On a non wash day:

It takes about 5 mins in the morning to undo my pin curls, oil with jojoba and bun.

It takes another 10-15 mins at night to moisturize, seal, and pin curl.

So all together about 20 mins a day.

On wash days:
Well, thats another story!!:lachen:

What she said...............

Well right now as it stands I have a short TWA going on, so it's mostly wash n gos for me, with moisturizer n oils and it's done. So I say about 10 min total tops, for the time being. As it grows out, I may not be so lucky!

I'm tryna get my hair on the right track, since it was so badly damaged and thin. I probably spend an hour a day. Right now I'm cowashing everyday but I have this down PACK like a science now lol. When I hop in the shower at night I take my shower and while I'm doing this I cowash my hair (I only DC on the weekends and maybe once in the middle of the week). Then i get out of the shower apply leave-in then I put ORS Olice oil on my hair and seal the ends with oil. I add a bit of wrap Lotion and I roll my entire head. In the morning all I do is take the rollers out and put a headband on and call it a day. TADA it's a protective style since my hair isn't that long, it's kute, and girly...in under an hour

It takes me 45 to 60 minutes on wash day. This includes shampoo, conditioner, gel and diffusing.

For two or three days after, less than 10 minutes. Just enough to fluff or put up in a puff.

During the weekdays? Just 30 seconds to fingercomb/smooth-down before I run out the door in the morning.

On washday-2 hrs(including 1 hr sitting w deep conditioner)

It varies...

Daily while in protective styles: 30 seconds or less. Just enough time to put my hair in a bun or twist updo.

Daily while my hair is loose: Maybe 5-10 minutes in the morning just to undo my braids/twists/bantu knots and fluff. At night, 10 minutes to moisturize and rebraid/twist.

Thorough Wash Days (clarify, DC and detangle): 2-4 hours, depending on how long I'm DC'ing. I do this once a month.

Non-Thorough Wash Days (just DC while in protective styles): 2 hours, which is the amount of time I spend DC'ing. Then I just rinse, dry, moisturize, and go. I do this 2 times a month.

10 minutes to condition wash
05 minutes to finger comb, moisturize, seal, bun and wrap with a scarf
05 minutes to re-bun, french roll or style after my hair has dryed some.

Last night's hair time was great.

I did not need to apply anything to my scalp, so even with sectioning with clips, to moisturize and roll it (only about 5 rollers) and tie it down only took a few min.

That is why I start slacking with oil massages and stuff. I just dont like spending too much time.

At night when I moisturize and twist up hair about 30 minutes.
When I am about to leave to go somewhere, about 15 minutes
On days that I wash hair about 1 hr.

Daily? About 10 minutes.

On wash day, anywhere from 1 to 3 hours depending on what kind of style I'm doing.

I spend about 5.5 hours weekly on my hair.

I moisturize and twist it every other day, which takes about an hour. Wash days take like 2.5 hours.

:sigh: today is wash day...

Daily: I pincurl or wrap my hair at nite...takes no more than 5 mins...in the morning i fingercomb or comb out my hair and i moisturize takes no more than 5 mins. If I need to use my Carusos in the morning, no more than 15 mins.

Washdays: At least 1.5 hrs...sometimes more.

Daily, less than 10 minutes. I deep condition my hair over a period of 1-2 days on weekends with a baggy under my wig.

On a daily basis, not much time at all, 5 minutes in the morning and another 5 minutes or so in the evening. Wash days a couple of hours.

The less I have my hands in my hair the better!

Daily: I am addicted to rollersets and braid outs so I spend about 5-10 minutes on my hair daily. When I rollerset with magnetic curlers I wrap my hair at night. I crosswrap when I'm wearing a braid-out, I do not re-braid daily. When I am wearing a spiral set, I pin curl or if I am feeling really lazy I just stick a satin bonnet on my head and shake it out in the a.m. :shake: and the curls are still there :yep: I always moisturize and seal though.

Wash day: Easily 3 hours or more :violin: I have to get my hair looking right so I can fluff and go for the next 3 days

Less than 5 mins. My hair is usually braided underneath a LF. I just moisturize/oil scalp & hair every few days. My wash days (every 3-4 wks) are 2-2.5 hrs though.

Daily? About 2 minutes. Moisturize, bun & go. :yep:

On wash days about 4.5 hours, including time under the dryer. :ohwell:
