How much damage can two sessions of harsh brushing do?

First I would like to say that I pretty much baby my hair and take really good care of it. Recently I have found that it is easier to take care of if I cornrow it, but I don't know how to, so I have been getting my cousin to do it for me. Although I ask her politely to brush from end to tip with the denman, she takes a comb and starts yanking through it. This has happened on 3 separate occasions (although it won't be occuring again). I am scared this is going to cause a setback.

What do you ladies think? How much damage can a couple of sessions of harsh combing/brushing do? I did see some hair on the floor, but my hair looks like it is the same length.

I know that I should complained and not got it done the second or third time, but hey it was free.

I would scream if she did that, lol.....seriously. Two sessions isn't going to make a bit of difference in your hair...you're fine. Just don't let her keep doing it, that's asking for trouble.

It doesn't sound like a big deal. You honestly do need your hair combed well before braiding otherwise you might have matting and locking when you take them down. The amount of hair lost was probably a lot less than the cumulative amount that you might lose if you wore your hair loose everyday. So I wouldn't worry about it.
