How many hrs does it take to put in microbraids?

I'm considering wearing microbraids this summer. I remember the last time i had extensions many years ago i had individual box braids and it took maybe 6 hrs. How long on average do micro's take? I would love to get braids but the thought of sitting in that chair all those hours keeps detering me from getting any.

PS: Any salon recommendations in the nyc area with reasonable prices where they dont braid too tight and do exactly what i ask?

Ive heard it could take 2-3 days

it depends on where you go. if you go to a person it could take 6-8 hrs maybe more. ive had them done once and i went to a shop and 4 people were braiding and i was done in 3 1/2 hours

Takes a few hours (min. 8)...i use to go around 8-9 and b home by 4-5. i went to 125th next to Duane Reade and 2 ppl were doing it. As soon as i felt it was too tight i told her and she redid it.

My stylist take 6 hrs to do microbraids including styling it depends on the person.
