How Long Should I Wait To Get A Relaxer?

I plan on taking my micros out on July 9th and I was wondering how long should I wait to get a relaxer??

You should wait at least a week, IMO. Though I've had micros taken out and relaxed the same day, with no problem. It is probably better to wait and condition your hair before relaxing.

The instructions that came with my Phytorelaxer say the same thing, "If you have braided hair, undo braids then shampoo and condition 1 week prior to using relaxer."
