About 30 minutes. I do the ponytail rollerset method (last time I increased it to 12) and it still takes me that long. Hey, it's worth it too!

45 minutes to do about 20-25 green and pink rollers...
30 minutes if I use about 15 large red rollers...
:yep:

Ohok...so I'm not the only one. The thing is, I'm thinking about washing my hair more often. :scratchch: How often do ya'll wash and rollerset?

Usually 5 minutes, but 10 tops. I have practiced so much that I became very quick. First, I studied what my hairdresser does and then I practices. She takes about 5 minutes. My hair is very thick and about shoulder length.

5-10 minutes!!! Dear God!!! It takes my hairstylist longer than that!! SHe takes about 15-20 minutes! Wow youre good!! It takes me about 45-60 minutes and I use about 25-30 purple rollers.

It takes me 30 minutes avg. I wash & set 2x a week bc I swim. I airdry the rollerset however more often thatn I go under the hair dryer.

45- 1Hour...If I get tired, I go to the kitchen, munch on a snack, see what's on TV....If I go straight thru it about 45mins tops

I set my hair 1x a week...in winter
2x in summer ( last summer that is) I also do wet buns so I rotate at times

It takes me 45 min.-1 hour to rollerset using blue rollers. It takes a little less time when I use the purple rollers.

I usually rollerset 2x a wk.

On average about 15 minutes. It takes me longer though when I am 8 weeks post relaxer and have a head of new growth.

Alright! So, it can be done. Gosh, if I could just hold out until my hair gets longer, it won't take so long.....{{{{{sigh}}}}

It takes me about 30 mins twice a week and then I "dry set" the other days.

So my regimin is Saturday - Wash and Set Sunday - Dry set - Monday - Dry Set

Tuesday - Wash and Set - Wednesday - Dry Set Thursday- Dry Set - Friday - Ponytail

Oh I use tan, yellow, oranage and a couple of blue for my sets

Since Impractiically bald headed, It takes me about 15-20 mins for about 20 rollers because I must roll each section perfectly.

To rollerset my hair is not an easy task, because of the hair lenght and the number of rollers it needs to get the perfect style. My mother, who is an hairdresser, was always joking that I was her customer who was needing the longest time to rollerset and it was over 30 minutes which is not strange as it is close to 1 mn per roller.
If i do it at home, I need some help at least for the back part - a neighbour or my husband will help. Without that help I cannot make the arrangment of the rollers in neat rows very close to each other, which accoring to my mother is the secret of the style. Look at Bree's pics, she is doing the same. With myself doing the front part and the helper doing at a later the stage, all being less experienced I do not think that I have been ever able to complete the rollerset in less than 1 hour.
So your case is not so strange.
Additionaly, I shall say that with long hair you will quickly feel the effort in your arms.....Another reason to seek help.

I know it takes me at least 1 hour just to get the rollers in. I used to be so fast. Now I take my time and make sure that all the parts are even and the rollers are perfectly placed. Now if I could just get it to dry faster without being crispy. Just wait until I get my hands on some mesh rollers without that brush in them.

Karezone: You can take the brush out of the mesh rollers. They work better without if you do not want to scratch your scalp or tangle your hair. Bonjour

when i first started out i used 16-18 grey rollers and that took 35-45 minutes, now that i use 23-25 purple rolllers it takes an hour.

When I curl my whole head with perm rods after deep conditioning, it takes a total of 3 hours (sometimes longer) to curl all my hair. This is also another reason for my transitioning. I know that my natural hair is curly/coily, and it won't take me 3 hours to get it that way...more like a few seconds!

about 20 minutes with the purple rollers. if i used the right size for my hair, it'd probably take less time. (the purple ones are too small)

I had gotten a rollerset on Sat. I LOVE it!!
It took about 45 min for her to rollset it and another 40 min. to dry! I finally figured out why it had been a year since i rollerset my hair. I cant stand being under the dryer that long!
But it was worth it in the end!
She used about 50 green rollers in my head. I looked like a helmet!
