How long does it take you to let go of setbacks?

I have to say it takes me awhile honestly. I get very down about things like learning how to style my hair without damaging it, braiding. Oh LORD the braiding. Trying to braid my hair makes me cry.

Not to mention how long it took me to finally stop mistreating my hair, how much hair I lost due to breakage and heat abuse.

I'm getting better but it still bothers me sometimes.

I got a weave for my birthday, and the chick who cornrowed my hair just straight up popped hair out of my head. i had hoped it was the extra hair she put in, but when i took that weave out, there was some breakage and alarming shedding that was noticeable to me after i got my hair back to normal.

So as a result, all of July I went on lockdown, and did shake and go's and airdryed ponytails, so that I wouldn't notice the breakage, and could nurse it back to health. So it was a solid month of lockdown.

This Sunday, I just wore my hair out and I did see more health and restored thckness, so i am content. i still see breakage from the weave, but i am ok...

it took me 2 touchups to let go of it. it still bothers me from time to time but i no longer dwell on it. oh well.
