Hey everybody!

Sooooo yesterday I flat-ironed my hair for the FIRST time since February 21st (my birthday lol!), and I have definitely gotten some noticeable growth. My hair is like an inch past SL....which is GREAT from where I started. Anyway, I have never experienced such a long process of doing my own hair until yesterday! Now I totally get what my mom/my sister/my stylist/etc. have all meant when they complained about my thick hair! It took me forever! All the new-growth especially. Those hairs really lengthen when straightened....I was even surprised. Anyway, took me like 2 hours to straighten my hair, and like I said it's barely past SL! Is this normal? I do have really thick hair, but damn you know!

So I'm wondering, since so many of you ladies have fabulous long locks much longer than mine (and even those who are SL range like me!) how long does it take you to straighten your hair?

Toward the end I was getting impatient, lol. I did take like 2 breaks, but they were for like 10 minutes. So it's still a really long time. Maybe I'm just slow? Anyway, I'm curious! :yep:

Is the 2 hours including washing/conditioning and drying time or just plain old flat ironing time?

It takes me about 1 hr to flat iron, just flat ironing though.

If were talking just flat ironing that takes an hour. If were talking washing, blow drying, and then flat ironing that's about 2 1/2 hours.

Saturday it took me 3 hours b/c I kept stopping cuz I was mad I started. My hair is about maybe two inches from apl (the v is probably already there) but since I'm natural so I have to take small sections to do the comb chase method. If I did it w/o stopping it will take a little more than an hour.

The entire process (shampoo, condition, airdry, blowdry, flatiron) about 2 hours. Just to flatiron/comb chase my hair is less than an hour. More time is taken with the airdrying.
