Good afternoon. How long do you let your henna sit. Or do you even let it sit before you apply it to your hair? Just curious:cool:

I don't. I mix it up and use it immediately.

If I have errands or stuff to do, I'll mix it up and let it sit for an hour or so before I put it on.

Most times I just apply it immediately.

I use mine immedialy also. Before the color is released.

I mix it in bulk, let it sit for 12 hours to release and freeze in individual ziploc bags.

You want to make sure the dye releases before you use it and that depends on the "type" of henna, i.e. Jamila, Morrocan, etc.

You can let your henna sit anywhere from 1 hour or up to 24 hours! You can tell if the dye has released by looking at the surface of the mix. It will look like brownish/greenish/orange. If you can't tell by looking at it, place a small piece of tissue or paper towel on top of the mix. If the dye has released, the tissue will absorb the liquid from the mix and it will have an orange/green tint to it.
