Can they last for a month when done with your own hair?

What size do you recommend? Any pics???

I'm really looking for extremely low maintenance styles. I'm in school right now and the program is so rigorous. Being that I am transitioning, I really would rather not have to deal with two different textures at this time.

I'm going to say two weeks if you want them to look good - longer if you can keep a scarf on your head at night.

I have learned that I am looking really good the first week; the second week is a little fuzzy; by the third week, between the new growth and the fuuzy hair, my braids are a mess. My daughter, who can keep a scarf on her head while sleeping is good for three weeks before the braids start to look icky.

Good luck with school and hair.

I usually wear mine for two weeks and co-wash or rinse everyday but use a stocking cap to keep the frizz to a minimum. I usually get between 16-20 cornrows.

If I need them to last for three weeks due to the fact that either I or my braider is going away then I will get them done slightly smaller.
