How Long Can You Keep A Weave?

When you wear a SEWN-IN weave, how long can it stay in your head without damaging the hair? Thanks!

when i wore weave before, i could only keep it in for a week, mainly because i couldn't stand having it in my hair any longer.

Most recommend not leaving it in beyond six weeks. I am going into my third week of wearing my sew-in. After 6 weeks you should take it out and let your hair breathe a little.

Yup... 6 weeks is more than enough. I always aim to take mine out at the start of the fifth week.

I think the longest Ive left mine in was 10 weeks. But I generally get it redone after 8.
