my hair is growing nicely right now, im at 6 weeks post and the new growth in the back is ridiculous.. I just hide my hair under half wigs and full wigs now since the edges are seriously a mess and no longer blends nicely.. the 3 x weekly dc's the cowashes 2x a week, and i just wet my hair in the shower every morning and air dry and I def see mucho progress.. oh and don't forget the nightly baggying.. all for keeps.. Thanks so much ladies.. i've come such a long way from thinking if i wet my hair too much its reversing my relaxer, lol

Not quite sure -- good, I hope....
I'm still not 100% confident that I can tell when my hair needs moisture or protein, so that worries me -- I'd like to be certain. I *think* I've gotten enough protein built in with the Aphogee 2 step I did a week and a half ago and with the Megatek I've started using this week. So, any conditioner I use for the time being will be moisturizing. That said, I wish there was a device I could stick on my hair to detect exactly what it needs. I'm trying to pay attention to how it feels on a regular basis.

I've been whole-head baggying nightly and moisturizing and sealing at least two times a day (yesterday I took the moisturizer to work and moisturized just about every hour). I'm not sure if the Hawaiian Silky 14n1 is the right moisturizer for me because my hair feels dry fairly soon after using it. So, we'll see.

That being said, I think my hair is doing ok, thanks for asking. Considering I'm 12 weeks post, and the new growth is soft and manageable, my hair detangles well with good conditioners and with ACV rinses, and there's less breakage and shedding (esp. when wet), I think it must be doing well.

ETA: I just think my hair is doing ok. Although there's less breakage when washing, I do think that the amount of breakage when dry is unacceptable, and I've got to figure out whether I've got too much moisture or too much protien quickly.

my hair is saying i hate you....i think we should split...really we should because it's just not working out. she says i'm being to demanding in our hairship and all she needs is a little tlc. no matter how hard i try i end up messing things up. right now i put ebonee dessence m....that's my hair's name, in braids. my son and i yanked a braid out, huh! ebonee said, i get on her nerves. so i' trying to take it one day at a time, i'm not going to rush her into things and i plan to take it easy with alot of commercialized products and i've eased up off the relaxers/heat again since she's been feeling the heat. i was just about sl until i snipped off the back as soon as i felt that saudi heat....ebonee did not like that idea at all neither. so i'm trying to get back into my hair's good graces.

i think its saying:

"thanks for treating me so delicately and making sure I am strong, moisturized and protected, but can we have a little fun and can you play with me a little if I promise to reach at least MBL?"

My hair is definitely doing really well. Barely any breakage during this phase of my transitioning and my hair just seems to be getting stronger all around.

My hair is doing very well...probably because I've been leaving it alone! I've been wearing wigs and lacefronts for the past 7-8 months. I keep my hair in cornrows underneath. I cut my hair to just above APL in December and now I'm centimeters from BSL! I shampoo and condition once a week. Sometimes with my hair still in the braids. I rebraid every two weeks, applying Profetiv Healthy Ends and castor oil on my hair. I apply MTG (am I one of the few that still use this? lol) on my scalp once or twice a week. I baggy my whole head at night.

My hair is doing well. I am a little over 3 weeks post texlax and basically have been co-washing every few days and just braiding it and letting it be. I am in study mode for the bar examination at the end of the month so don't have time for much else. My hair seems to be happy with this routine.

My hair is ok. I'm still building a regimen. So far alternating btwn CWing and DCing every 3-4 days is working (shampoo 2-3x per month max). I still see breakage though. So now i don't manipulate my hair btwn wash days. I keep it in 6 braids, moisturize the ends 2x a day and throw on my half wig when i have to go out.

Oh and my last DC was with coconut oil. What??? i wish i invested in it sooner. Granted I don't think my brand is unrefined or virgin (Ramela brand from the supermarket here in queens) but my strands look different and my ng is softer.
