Would you say that coconut oil's aroma is quite strong? In other words, is it aromatic?

And do you ever think that you could use coconut oil to mask the smell of another ingredient in a hair/skin care DIY? Why or why not?

It's a light scent to me, wouldn't mask anything

Very light and definitely isn't masking anything

I hardly notice the smell at all. Very light. Does not smell like coconut like you think it would so it will not mask anything.

Organic coconut oil (from whole foods/target etc..) has a light nice smell.

Parachute coconut oil smells bad to me. But my hair responds well to it.

Organic coconut oil has a nice smell and people can always smell it in my hair (I saturate my hair with it). I don't think it would mask another smell because other hair scents are usually stronger ESPECIALLY if it's an artificial fragrance.

It depends on the brand. The one from Trader Joes is very fragrant but I don't know if it would mask the smell of anything else.

I use Nutiva extra virgin coconut oil and the scent is very light, and subtle.

Yeah, I just bought some coconut oil from Trader Joe's and the scent is much stronger than other brands I've used. I was a little surprised. Almost like it's been roasted or something. Wouldn't mask anything but it is stronger.

I make my own coconut oil and it has an interesting scent to it. It's not overpowering. Decided to make my own because couldn't find it in my local BSS. Three coconuts yield two 2oz bottles.

I can't see any mentions on my IPhone. PM me if it is a must see. Allons y

I find it fragrant but not enough to mask another smell

Hi OP, if you're worried about the scent of coconut oil, you can buy fractionated coconut oil from etsy.com!

it depends on if it is refined

If your'e looking to mask smells, you're best bet is an essential oil, which contains the concentrated amount of aromatic compounds. They do make coconut essential oils!
