DH has helped me many times with my hair journey. In addition to verbal encouragement during my transition to natural, he has taken down my sew-in weave, helped take out my curly twists, helped put in my BKT, purchased products for me (after hearing me talk about wanting them) as well as paid for my Pibbs dryer and my new steamer. Granted, DH uses the dryer and he plans to use the steamer too so they were not solely for me. lol lol

DH has even started to talk to other women in the street about BKT. lol lol

DH "greased" my scalp for me the other day. He volunteers to help all the time (even suggested to help me relax my head), but I'm just now growing use to the idea of him being all up in my head.

I'm loving these stories ..smiling at them and smiling thinking about what my man would do for me.

How has your steamer helped you? I am thinking of getting one soon.

FH is my number one hair fan. He did my BC, helps take down my sew in's, and has purchased hair products and my steamer. All he asks for is more length.

My SO helps me get rid of split ends when needed, went out to find me a Denman brush, verbally encourages me and helps me take progress pics. He's a real help to me :Blush2:.

My BF started off helping me wash my hair and detangle it (no more detangling for him) but I enjoy our times when he assist with the washing. Then he has progressed to putting my deep treatments in my hair like adding my coconut lime treatment like a relaxer brush and all. Of course he loved the oil running off my bare shoulders - I didn't even notice until he pointed out how sensual it was. He will also take progress pics for me. I have also the other men (brother/nephew) in my life taking progress pics for me.

I voted verbal encouragement.... But in the end he coughs up that $$$$.. He knows how important my conditioners are to me.

Some of these stories are so sweet. My husband has trimmed my hair before (he nearly passed out from anxiety), washed it when I was too ill to manage on my own and applied product. He has straight hair that he keeps very low so this is far from easy for him but he's very supportive, offering to buy me a steamer and offering to send me to the salon when I wanted to go.

Verbal encouragement only.

Mine is too macho to be doing "girly thiings". lol

Plus, he hates the feeling of creams and oils, he doesn't use anything like that on himself.

My SO has helped me apply relaxer to the back of my head, reminds me to put my cap on at night, and comes with me to the BSS

DH tells me I'm beautiful when my hair is in a bun. ( Im not used to buns and I don't feel too cute when I wear them so hearing this makes me keep on bunning)

He buys whatever I need

He let's me talk about hair and show him pics of hair I love. I'm sure it bores him to death but he never let's it show.

He's very encouraging. Love him to pieces!

He cuts my hair and has been very supportive recently.

I agree with Neith he would never do some of the things mentioned in this thread.
