This is how I use MTG, "so poor and so black" (LOL!)...

I use the applicator bottle recommended by Honeycomb. I apply the MTG every four days and wash every two weeks. This is a deviation from my washing once a week.

From what I understand, you're not to wash too frequently when MTG'ing.

On Fridays, I try to do an overnight treatment. I apply MTG to my scalp, put on a plastic cap and sit under my heating cap for a bit or until I'm ready for bed. Then I wash the next morning.

Other days, I have a bottle of surge mixed with MTG. I just spray that on my edges & etc at least every couple of days. I've CO'd pretty much everyday this summer but I'm about to break it down to every 3-4 days so that I can let my MTG "marinate" this Fall.

I mix MTG with a few other oils, normally those in the Surge Motion Lotion #9 bottle. I normally apply it every night or every other night directly to my scalp. I don't apply it the week before a relaxer cuz I don't know if that is a good idea or 2-3 weeks after a relaxer, I want to enjoy my hair with the new growth straightened! This is the only way I have ever done it, and it has worked very well for me. I always get ample new growth from this. You'll even see in my fotki, my new growth was CRAZY. My hair doesn't grow fast, and I know the only reason I get so much more than normal is b/c of this MTG!

My MTG shipment arrived last night!

It smells like Sulfur8 times 20! They include a little brochure with your order, so this is some of what it says:

"Original MTG creates a healthy environment for the hair follicle, resulting in maximum growth while keeping the length of the hair shaft soft and pliable for minimum breakage."

It is weird that there are before and after pictures of HORSES throughout the brochure. The actual bottle has more instructions for specific goals, but for maximum mane growth:

Apply MTG once per week, massage in, and then braid and bag. Now they are talking about the horse's "tail", but it is same techniques as many using a "baggie" to protect their strands.

We don't call it a PONYtail for nothing!

I think so. Alot of relaxed heads are using it (including me) so I'm sure it'll be fine for texturized people.

Okay, so I ordered the sample size like Thursday or Friday and I got it already today (Monday). I don't mind the smell, reminds me of how the dried up bacon bits smell I'm going to try not to wash my hair tomorrow to give it time to soak in, I may either use it 2 or 3 times a week. I figure since I wash my hair often then I can use it more than what the bottle recommended, but hopefuly I don't experience the adverse side effects, I dont want my hands turning into hooves!

Daggonit!!!!!!!! All this talk about MTG...I'm a recovering product junkie and y'all just bringing me on back!!!!!!! I tried to hold out-but I must...I must.......I just GOTTA ORDER IT!!!!!!!!!! Thursday can't come fast enough!!!!!!!!!

OK, I did have a question-if I were to mix MTG with, lets say coconut oil, would it smell funny? I stay having braids in my hair, so I don't want to walk around smelling like a horse LOL! Help me, you guys!

It was left by my door, girl I order so much stuff online my mailman know to just leave it by my door, and my neighbors know I will cut anyone who touch my stuff If I order something via UPS though, and I'm not home when they deliver it, then they leave it in the rental office where the staff signs for it and holds it for us until we can come pick it up. I ordered from shapely's website and they shipped it via usps so I didn't need to sign for it

Ok Guys, I want to know... How much growth does one averagely get with this MTG?

I'm interested in trying it. Does it boost up the growth you are already getting, or is it primarily to fill in edges and keep things moisturized? As in, it won't speed up growth, it'll just keep you from losing ends, etc....

I just recd mine yesterday...i mixed it with surge, infusim,scurl and what i had left of minoval in a spray bottle..i hope im doing this right and thats it okay..it does smell alot like sulpur eight...i ordered the small bottle just to see how it is ...i may go back and order the larger bottle..
