How do you use hydracaps?

Just a quick question.

I HATE HATE HATE sitting under the hooded dryer, however, I have better luck DCing with heat.

Since you use high heat and the hydracap is supposed to lock in heat, do you think I'll get the same results by shrinking it and then leaving it on for a while? Will all that heat be stored? TIA.

I know some ppl have used them, I read previous threads. People have used them for silk wraps. What about the deep conditioning though? Would this be an alternative to sitting under the dryer?

I always eyeball those things at Sally's but never buy cuz I don't quite get em either.

I tried them and I didn't really like them. When I took it off my hair wasn't warm, I felt like it didn't really penetrate my hair.
