Ladies-

I'm interested in purchasing Dudleys DRC 28 but how do you use this treatment?

I read somewhere that you suppose to dilute it with water? Is this correct?

Thanks in advance!

I used this to whip my hair into shape when it was breaking badly. It is very messy so you need to have a towel near by. I never add water to it. I wash my hair, put on the treatment, sit under the dryer for 30-45 min with a cap. Sometimes I put cotton along the hairline to soak up the dripping. I rinse then follow up with a moisturizng conditioner for 15 min w/heat. It a very heavy protien. Good Luck!

I clarify wash my hair to help allow the penetration of the treatment, then apply enough from roots to ends to thoroughly cover my hair. Then cover with a shower cap and sit under a dryer or heat cap for about 20 minutes. I rinse then follow with a moisturizing deep conditioner (important to use a moisturizing conditioner becasue of the clarifying wash).

I hadn't heard of diluting it before.

Thanks for your response! Does your hair get hard like the Aphogee treatment?

Thank you..i thought that it was odd to dilute it.

No it does not get hard..good advice from OnceUponAtime to clarify. By clarifying it raises the PH balance and cuticles to allow the protein to penetrate deeper into the hair shaft.

I ended up buying this product on ebay after hearing good reviews. And its definetly a bit pricer than aphogee. I dont know if it was just me, but its not doing that great of a job. The plusses, compared to aphogee, is that is not as sticky, stinky, or gets your hair rock hard. But i dunno....

I use it the same way. I haven't tried Aphogee, but this really stops breakage in it's tracks. Definitely a staple for me.

Back in the day my hairdresser instructed me to use it once a month under a hooded dryer for 15-20 mins. Use 1-2oz, apply and evenly distribute, cover with plastic cap. If you can get your hand on those cotton strips, tie that around perimeter of your hair around the elastic band of the cap. If not, just keep a towel with you because this stuff drips and can be messy.

Yes I never heard of diluting it. But wash w/ clarifying shampoo, put on the drc (enough to saturate all your strands) but not to much. Let sit w/ plastic cap under dryer 15-20 mins. rinse out then put a good moisturizing conditioner on. The directions are on the back of the bottle! This is wonderful stuff!!!

Ladies-

I appreciate your responses...I ordered it yesterday and I can't wait to use it! Hopefully it will bring my breakage to a halt...I will post my results:).

How much did your guys get your DRC for? I saw one for $65 at a nearby store. I was curious, I don't plan on using (at least anytime soon) because I use henna. Probably if I did use it, it would be a couple of times a year.

Tsipy

I just purchased this 3 weeks ago and used it last week for the first time, it left my hair shiny and I do have less breakage in one week

When you guys use DRC 28, do you use cholesterol treatments or light protein treatments (like GPB, ORS replenishing packs or keraphix) the rest of the month?
