So I need some help. I am currently trying to use up my stash and I have decided on my staples (FINALLY!!!:yep:) But I am not repurchasing anything else until I am done with all of the crap under the sink. My hair isn't very picky and all the stuff I have my hair basically likes. My accumulation was mainly due to jumping on many bandwagons. Anyway I currently have some things that I was using before I relaxed my hair.

One thing I have in my stash is the Cantu Shea Butter for Natural Hair Curling Cream. Is there anyway I can use this for my relaxed hair? The ingredients look good to make my own mix as a conditioner for cowashing. But the directions also tell you not to rinse out so maybe I could mix with something else and use as a leave in conditioner? I've searched other posts for the way others use it but nothing covering a relaxed head. Does anyone have any suggestions on a way for me to use these or should I just get rid of them?

It is a conditioner. You either wash it out or use it as a leave in conditioner.

I'm not relaxed but when i used this straight it did nothing but sat on my hair, I microwaved it for like 5 to 10 (no more than ten) seconds and it is magic. Let it melt, cool down some and apply warm and now my hair loves it.

Hmm I like that applying it warm idea. I think I'll try that tonight. If that doesn't work I think I'll mix it with a little bit of oil and water and use for cowashing. Thanks. I am determined to use this stuff.

Just did this last night. OMG! I actually had to microwave mine for closer to 45 seconds before it got just a little warm. I added some of my oil mix to it, stirred and slapped it on my hair. Massaged it in, read a few pages of my book just so I know it got all in there. Hopped in the shower and rinsed it out. I put my hair in a bun and I couldn't tell a difference last night. But today! My hair is so soft, shiny and well behaved. My edges and new growth feel like cotton. I love it. I'll use this as a cowash a few times a week until it's finished. I might even repurchase if I like the way my hair looks/feels in a few weeks.

I dunno sis. I tried that Cantu stuff and I didn't like it.

I used up all of mine by using like a regular conditioner. I mixed it with oils, honey, vegetable glycerin and slapped it on my fro.
