How do you really know

if your hair is overprocessed. I get confused with this topic because some people say your hair should still have some natural texture and curl and some say its when you keep relaxing pre relaxed hair. I have a friend at school who gets a mizani mild relaxer every 6 weeks like clockwork and she has very long hair with nooooo see through ends. Her hair isn't as thick as so other peoples I know but it really looks good. Should you have a problem with over processing if you use a mild relaxer and never leave it in longer than you are supposed too. I have some underprocessed hair in some places right now so this isn't one of my problems but I still have alot of questions about this. Please tell me what you think. Thanks again

If relaxed hair feels overly soft and limp when it's wet and is rough and hard when it's dry and it breaks easily, it's been over processed.
If your hair is badly tangled and matted when it's wet it has been overprocessed.
If your hair is thin and snaps or tears very easily when it's wet, it has been over processed. Wet hair should stretch a little bit and bounce back into shape when you let it go.

Thanks Sassygirl. I have just been wondering about that for a while. I know most people that just had an relaxer application have very soft hair with a little body but after they wash it it has more body. I was taking some of the comments on this board and thinking that that was overprocessed hair. If that was the case then I have never known anyone without overprocessed hair.
