When I wear wigs, I cornrow and wear a wig cap.
Large individual braids bunned and pinned down. Dag I wished I could cornrow.![]()
I have a question (I don't know if it's been answered before but I'll ask it anyways xD): are those "stocking" caps good for protecting hair under a wig? Because I've heard complaints by my grandmother and other women that their hair had severe breakage after a while of using them.
For almost the last year I've been either cornrowing or box braiding (as of the last few months) my hair underneath. It's not quite long enough for a ponytail but I have to figure something out as it's getting a little too thick under there.
I also put on a men's skull cap, you know the black satin ones. They do a great job holding in moisture for my hair.
Hope this helps!
I use a men's sport skull cap as well. I can go at least 2 days between moisturizing my natural hair when wearing it- that's how good it works at helping to retain moisture![]()
^^^^ lovin the wavy tresses
Does anyone else baggy daily under their wigs? I moisturize and wrap my hair, throw on a shower cap and then put the wig cap on top of that.
Sometimes I braid and pin it, but I get a flatter result when i wrap.
get the men's satin skull caps
