How do you prevent hair colour rinsing right down the drain after dying it?

I use L'Oreal's Color pulse Temp. hair dye, but I always see purple water when I rinse it out.

I wash my hair with a regular shampoo, then I condition, apply the hair dye, rinse my hair, then I deep condition, and then rinse out the conditioner.
