I do not know where to start! My hair is not in the most unrepairable shape, however, I havent been very good to it.

How do you make up with your hair? besides a DC....

First find out what the issue is with your hair. Is it dry? Is it too hard? Is it too soft and mushy? Do you have thinning edges? Breakage? Splitting? ETC.

Then depending on those factors, I would get a plan into place to make up to my hair.

hai rmakeup session 101:

pour yoursef a glass of wine..put out a bottle of DC for ya hair ( the good stuff)...put on some soft playing music..some luther or patti and have a heart to heart with ya hair as if ya about to have a talk with ya boo...

a baby im sorry talk...lol
a baby i will do better talk..lol

start massaging your scalp and massaging your strands...
pour lil oil in your hand and do a rub down... as if ya givin ya boo a backrub down lol

that should get you back on your hairs good side...
hopefully a hair-gasm will be the end result... :)

im just bein silly...OP...im sure the ladies will chime in with other info

Me & my hair just made up AGAIN after my abuse. My issues were not moisturizing and sealing and too many homemade products without fully researching. But guess what, she's soooo forgiving and after much breakage and my new super moisturizing routine with a pH she loves over the past 2 weeks, we're best friends again!

The only way I know how IS a DC though. If I've been colouring or highlighting a hard protein treatment, if its dry a mixed DC. Works every time.

totally depends on the problem and how bad ya bin lol

i normally have a quick dust - get rid of any nasty ends, DC
then moisture moisture moisture and of course seal with a good oil, bcause sometimes i neglect my hair and it needs some good tlc lol

How to makeup with your hair....

1. Start with some soft music or a good romantic movie (do a dusting if necessary)
2. Undue gently whatever style you currently have and slowly finger detangle
3. Warm some oil by sitting it in hot water for about 10 minutes and massage scalp gently
4, (if in need of moisture) Spread oil over hair lightly and place under plastic cap as long as desired 30mins is fine
5. cleanse with your favorite moisturizing or protein cleanser
6. deep condition with a protein conditioner if in need of strength or moisturizing conditioner if in need of moisture.
7. detangle before rinsing out conditioner and tell your hair how pretty and healthy she is
8. rinse out conditioner in sections
9. moisturize & seal
10. style and apologize for taking her for granted in the past
11. cover her with a satin cap and go night night

I have to make up with mine next week lol

Usually a prepoo (mix of oils and aloe vera juice) and then a clarifying shampoo, possibly a protein treatment depending on what I've done, a deep condition under the steamer and roller set or braid.

LOL aw.. thanks you guys,... I ended up doing a clariyfy and DC with this new Suave Botanicals conditioner....I would say that my biggest issue is breakage, my hair is long, and my ends are not bad, but not perfect either, I guess what Im tryna say is... I wish it was smoother looking... I KNOW that this is from sleeping on it tho...I gotta stop that!... ALSO.. "A-dusting I will go!" end result?.......
