How do you make a Puff?

So do you just gather your hait bac and put a tight hair bow on it and leave it like that and its just puffy? What do y'all do esactly? Also, why is it that I never see th thing thats holding the hair back or up? Do y'all use pics or do you use a bow that blends in with your hair? What's the deal?

I think the hair just flaps over the band and that's why you don't see it. I just brush back my edges and then put a headband on and push it back.

It depends on what I use to create my puffs. If I use a piece of nylon (from a pair of hosiery), the fullness of my puff naturally covers it, especially once I shake my hair into the puff. If I use a stretch headband (the kind that puckers) it will show on the top and sides, due to the width of the band.

so you just cut a piece from the leg of some hose and then use that as a band? Hmmmm...maybe I can finally use those old hose I got.

I use my big elastic headband and smooth it back.
