How do you know you're in love?

This discussion maybe a lil premature given that I'm not currently actively dating, nor is there a prospect of Boo in the picture as of yet.:rolleyes:

Okay....here's my question. How do you know when your in love? I've never been in love and when I ask people this question they always say "you just know" or "your heart will tell you"...stuff like that. But I always think back at the scripture stating the heart is deceitful. So how do you know for sure that what you feel is really true?:look:

Ya'll understand what I'm saying? This has really been bugging me. I know I talk about Boo a lot....but truth be told. I'm scared...I'm scared to open up my heart to someone on that level....then to find out later what I felt wasn't really real because my heart was deceitful.:nono:

The 'Heart' of your flesh may be deceiptful' but the Heart we have of Jesus which abides within us, and leads and guides us into ALL truth never deceives...it never lies.

As a matter of fact even when our hearts do deceive us, we have the Holy Spirit to bring us into Truth.

NOW...girl you had me running into this thread, just knowing you were talking about our future "brother-in-law" Boo....:lachen::lachen::lachen:

But KLB, you WILL know and you will know it's true. Your heart of hearts just loves and all you will see is this man's heart and not his failures. I Corinthians 13 is the best description of love. For no matter how wrong a woman's Boo may be, she will kill a sista or sister and anybody else who messes and says something wrong about or to her Boo.... :catfight: :brucelee: :boxing:

KLB, there's not a shredd of any thread of a deceitful heart in your being. You're one of the most sincere and purest spirits that I know. Your heart is as precious as Diamonds and as clear and refreshing as 'ice'.

Your wisdom is of more value than pearls; and your demonstration of loving care for others and all that you've shared and given can only do one thing and that is 'return to you 1000-fold.

Yes, 1000-fold :yep: and beyond. For that's how fertile in love and purity your heart is. How can deceipt develop and thrive in such fruitful ground in a heart such as yours? It can't, :nono: for the conditions are not conducive for deceit of any form to enter in, let alone thrive; deceipt could never survive in a heart such as yours.

Fret not over this any longer. Just look in the mirror and see the beauty looking back at you. That's your answer, precious sister. That's your answer...when you fall in love, you will know. Why? Because the love you see is what's coming back to you, mulltiplied. :love3:

Girl, my ex-brother-in-law was the lead singer for Blue Magic and I met all those guys: Delfonics, Stylistics, Moments...those were the times when music was music and love songs were true love songs. I have some of those songs in my ipod and so does dh and we sing to each other all the time, even with my scarf on my head and socks on my feet....and he loves it!

Now, that's some really good mood music!:giggle:

Girl...the more I'm with my baby, the more I fall in love with him. These songs are LOVE SONGS and I know that the Lord birthed them into their hearts...that's why I love them so much.

Girl, do I remember Ray, Goodman and Brown? Girl....I am going on ITunes tonight to download some music. They were awesome!

:blush:When your top 8 on myspace has always been your best girlfriend and your favorite cousin/best friend has always been number 1 and you decide all the sudden to put your man in the number 1 spot.

Hey, that was a big deal to me. :yep:

When you actually want to go the extra mile and you start preparing elaborate meals with too many ingredients just to impress him.

When you actually want to cater to him by giving him back massages and rubbing his crusty ole feet. (his feet aren't really crusty, i'm just sayin')

When he signs you up for a season of flag football in the dead of winter and assigns you the football jersey number of a QB you cannot stand because he's on the enemy's team and you still with one day's notice go out and play in 30 degree temperature at 7 in the evening on a Wednesday and instead of complaining your just so proud that your baby scored 4 touchdowns that game. :)

When you are all cuddled up on the couch and you wish you could stay right there forever.

When you start wondering, "i wonder what our kids would look like".

When his morning breath and gas are just a fact of life and don't quite annoy you so much.

When he hugs you after a long game of football or basketball and he's all smelly and stinky and gross but you enjoy the hug anyway.

When he eats the last of your favorite cereal and instead of blessing him out, you just go get some more.

When he's the first person you pray about before you fall asleep and the first person you pray about when you wake up in the morning.

When you catch your self staring at him thinking, oh i love that man so much and then he catches you and you look away blushing...only to sneak another peak a few seconds later.
