When people around me say, "You're buying more hair products"? OR "Don't you go down that hair aisle!" OR "You doing your hair again?!?"

[/ QUOTE ]

That's funny!!! Hmmm, not that anyone has ever said this to me before ... yeah right ... lol

I love making diagrams! It keeps my mind busy.

Also, I have about 30 different faces of myself that I have drawn, and on each one of them, I drew a different hairstyle. It's alotta fun!

When I am surfing the forum all nite when I know I should be doing house chores. When I wake up the first thing I think about is my hair and what products I want to try out next

Also, when you talk about hair products and give recommendations to family members and they complain that you never talk about anything else!

Re: How Do You Know That You Think About Hair Too

My son has peeked over my shoulder and said, "You are NOT doing that again are you? I was reading this board. He has accused me of needing a 12-step program. I told him that this forum is my new best friend.

I knew then, that I had a problem.

WHEN EVERY TIME YOU WALK PASS A MIRROR YOU LOOK AT YOUR HAIR.
EVERY TIME YOU WASH IT YOU SEE IF IT IS LONGER.
EVERY TIME YOU WALK IN A STORE YOU END UP IN THE HAIR SECTION.

IT'S MANY MORE BUT THOSE ARE SOME OF MY ACTIONS

when you strategically plan and prioritize the day so you can go the beauty supply store/health food store, particularly because you need a lot of time to sit and read the labels of every product in there....not to mention when you are in there you want to cat hiss at the store attendant when they are following you around because 1.) you don't need help to shop and 2.) you know more about the products than they do...

I agree, Kaela! I hate when they bother me! Leave me alone...I'm reading! Plus, I want to smell everything and don't want them watching! I wish they'd put out samplers so I could feel the consistency!

Ok, I'm really pathetic. I just started a workbook in Excel with a separate sheet for each kind of hair product (shampoo, conditioner, etc) so I can keep track of what i use and want to buy. I guess my word document just wasn't cutting it anymore!

I had a dream the other night that I was doing my hair, and it had grown to bra-strap without my really noticing. It was soft, strong and very healthy. My mom was over and she asked what I had been doing to it, and I said "My secret is distilled water."
I was thinking in the dream that I needed to run to the computer and share my hair victory with all the lovely ladies at the LHCF. I heard my sister coming in the door and I put my hair up, because I didn't feel like dealing with any jealousy about my hair.
Then I woke up. *Sigh*

I know that I think about hair too much:
-when I look at people's hair and unconciously think of ways to improve it ex. get a trim, hot oil treatment etc....
- when I can't wait to get back on the board to share info about new hair products
-when I am forever giving information out to my aunts and cousins about hair.
-when I work on my webpage for 5 hours straight just to make sure that I have all the possible hair links

Great thread you started Ballet Bun! Somehow I missed it before. I think focusing on my hair is a good thing because I can see I am improving the condition of my hair. It can be unhealthy though if we exclude other important things in our lives.

I know I'm thinking about hair too much when:

* I look in any mirror or window I pass by to check out my hair
* I have dreams about my hair - I think that's a good thing, I believe our dreams give us important info including the nightmares, if any.
* My hands are always feeling and touching my hair (hands are extensions of the mind & brain)
* I get on LHCF almost everyday to read the latest, or to share results, or assist somebody

When I watch tv and unconsiously look at their hair instead of their face and think their hair is nice/dry/damaged/healthy:

I dream about how I want to do my hair.
I write down various regimens to try.
I make posts about hair processes...lol

I have made a list of hair care products to take with me when I go on vacation or to a new bss I will look on this list to see If they have this product that was raved about on the LHCF board.
