Rollerset, followed my my Chi (lightly though). I have to use the chi because of my texlaxed roots to get really swinging hair, though it does swing with just a rollerset.

One more thing...don't use too much product...this is key!

If you use too much leave in, serums, etc, it will weigh the hair down and prevent it from ...swangin':D

ITA. Too much product will weigh hair down. One thing I have found that works for me is using foam setting lotion like Motions or KeraCare for extra body, swing, and bounce. I a little though. One pump does it for me.

LOL, I was wondering why I wasnt swangin :lachen:
I didnt think I put too much, but I guess so

Exaaactly, less product! And that means conditioner too ( I know you heavy handed  ). Too much can way your hair down forreal, girl I know.

I use only the amount of conditioner required to do the job. The rest ain't necc. in my opinion.

Then after washing and DCing, I apply a little bit of leave-in, if I see white then I rinse out and start over again. Too much makes my hair look like a grease master especially seeing how I like my hair stick straight.

Then i apply a little drop of oil to seal, then some protectant spray, then a little bit of serum. There it is

What gets my hair swinging?? Heat unfortunately :ohwell:

I was about to say this too....If you are not wary of heat, a blown out rollerset ALWAYS does it for me...

I'm gonna try a rollerset with just the NG flatironed followed by a wrap and see the results.....

I try to use less products, roller set with large rollers, flat iron roots if there is any new growth. If that does not work for me because my hair is acting funny, It is always a win win when I pay a visit to the Domnican Salon. Their blowouts always get swinging!

HeavyHanded :lachen:

Noooooo.. Im not heavyhanded.. Its just that my hair is sooooooo thick, the leave in doenst get all my hair unless I section , apply and repeat..

You mean heat protectant spray???

Ok, Imma try your way MM..

ITA, By the way BabyImaStar your hair is beautiful.

i personally have to use lots of product when i use heat, scared of it drying out!

i blowdty, then add keracare headdress and then keracare essential oils, tuck under for the night in my satin bonnet and i the morning...WOOOO white girl swingy!

A wet set with lottabody.

ITA! as well as using less product. When I know I'll be wearing my hair down, I skip the leave-ins and go straight to the rollser set. When my hair is dry, I lightly apply some S-Curl with my hands, and just a touch of a light, essential oil on the ends for extra protection. I usually have swing and bounce until my next wash day. ;)

I rollerset and use almost no product other than a spritzed leave-in and Lottabody setting lotion (which is really purple liquid), and never EVER anything oily or greasy. Maybe a little glossifier to smooth and shine afterward if I feel like it.

Then it's just take it down, comb it out and alll it does is swing and bounce.

I wash and con, then I airdry in a ponytail. The trick to airdrying for me so not to have hard and brittle hair is to wrap my hair with a scarf until about 80% dry and then let it dry loose after that.

After airdrying I flat Iron my hair putting in some serum and cremepress. After airdrying I roll my hair up on hard rollers and go to sleep. Every night after that until my next wash I roll my hair up at night and my hair is swinging and bouncing

Airdrying in a rollerset to straighten my hair. My hair is always swingy and bouncy after that, including my braidouts.

ITA about not putting in too much product. After deep conditioning and applying my leave-in, I seal it with just a liitle oil and a little bit of serum (although it's swingy without the serum), then rollerset it.
