How do you determine your hair type?

I was looking at some threads and noticed peoples hair types and thought I have no clue what hair type I have. What are the different hair types?

To piggyback off of Boston Maria, naturallycurly.com is a great website that explains hair types. Another site that I found through naturallycurly.com is:

Both sites helped me ALOT with trying to figure out my hair type/texture.
