How do you deal with a LIAR?????

Relentless

Reinventing
Hello Everyone,

I will try not to make this too long. There is this lady that I work with that is a habitual, compulsive liar. I mean she lies from sunup to sundown and it makes me crazy! I can't stand it. I've caught her in so many lies and after she's told me something; I've realized that she lied. She boldly and blantantly lie on other people.

One example: She wanted everyone in our group to agree with her on something, when everyone refused, she came back and said this manager said we should do it. Because we were all so dumbfounded, we went and asked the manager. He came back to each of us separetly and told us that he did not tell her that.

She makes me so angry with that lian spirit. I can't avoid her because she works in my group. When she comes up to me and tell me certain things, I know she is lian and I want to tell her to get out of my face!

Any advice, suggestions??? :perplexed

Limit your interactions with her as much as possible and take everything she says with a grain of salt.

She can get you fired acting like that. Is she having problems in her life? She might be going through a hard time and just looking for acceptance.

Or she might be a habiual liar, which is very dangerous. Watch her behavior to gauge how you should deal with her.

And prayer is also always effective.

She's been that way for years and years. As a matter of fact, she presents herself as the most likable, lovable person in the world. She's always smiling and grinning in people face. As far as I know, she is happily married. She constantly tells everyone how she loves her husband.

She does have a lot of issues though! I try to limit my interactions with her as much as possible. I made a bad mistake in thinking that she was a nice person and befriended her. She has since stabbed me in my back and everything else. She tries to outdo me at work and is always trying to show me up one way or another. She treats me a little mean whenever I wear my hair down and dress nice, it's a trip.

I am going to stay prayed up though.

This lady sounds just like someone I work with. I can't stand it. Everything that she says must be questioned and she is very manipulative stretching the truth and often telling lies. Also has a very competitive nature and always tries to instill doubt in me on several occasions. Whenever she says something that makes me feel bad or uneasy I step back and consider that it is most likely a lie. Your co-worker loses because she will lose al sorts of credibility with that behavior. And since she is not my supervisor, anything she says that I need to do concerning my job I politely tell her that I will await the instructions of my superior and I suggest that she carry on and do what she was assigned to do. I dont like the environment at all..but I have to keep her in her place which is out of my face!

Oops, I forgot this was the Christian forum. So, if you decide to follow what I do..make sure to do it with the sweetest spirit possible :D

Easy don't deal with them at all.

Seriously, though since you have to work with her you just have to limit contact with her as much as possible. You did the right thing by asking your boss. As long as you are working with her you have to keep doing it to cover your self.

And pray for the po' chile.

my current roommate is like this. i really dont believea word she says. im moving too :) Just take what ever she says with a grain of salt and move on.
ive figured out most people lie. So instead of being mad i just let it go and know next time they say something its most likely a lie.

Is her name Julie?

shhhheeet!

I've been at my job 2 months and the 1st day this ***** came up to me gossiping about everybody. One day, I foolishly told her how I felt about a situation and this witch went and told my boss. Well, luckily, he's not my "real boss", it's a dotted line relationship. But still!

Like you, i have to see her everyday but now, i just smile and nod. I'm practing the LOA and i'm trying to find some good in her, but it's really hard!

When someone lies to me, I call them on it right then and there. Usually, that person would then say that they are sorry that they lied and then I tell them how lying hurts not only the person you are telling the lie to, but to themselves as well.

I am going to tell you what God told me, "Look at the person lying directing to Me and not to you". This help me a great deal since I took it personally espcecially since it was personal alot of time. You just don't lose your cool and keep praying and let God clean house and this applies to sinners and saints.
