I am thinking of putting in braids but am worried that I will not be able to condition them as well as I condition my hair now. Does anyone have any advice? TIA.

I usually use the conditiner as I normally would. I apply it, pin the braids on top of my head, and let it sit. I sometimes do a hot oil also.

i dont often condition my braids in an effort to avoid build up....when i do condition, i dilute it and condition as usual....but mostly i stick to braid spray and s-curl or stasofro....also, i like put EQP oil moisturizer on my hair thats in the braids, but not on my scalp...

I used a leave-in conditioner (Infusium 23) and it did a great job!

sha you said you dilute your s-curl? right? im scared of having really dry hair when i take out my braids......i dont think the braid spray will moisturise it well

I use Elasta Care Penetrating Moisturizer and Infusion 23 Leave In Conditioner when I wear braids. It doesn't leave a build up and I don't have to spray daily.

I never condition my braids. All I do is wash them ,apply a good liquid leave-in and oil my scalp with either rosemary or jojoba oil and that's it. I find that conditioning braids causes them to slip and creates buildup over time. I leave the conditioning treatments for after I take my braids out.

I use a leave-in (preferably Infusium 23 for damaged hair) or Daily Doctor. I really don't like a lot of the braid sprays.

yeah, i do....it just works better for me....and if i feel like my actual hair is getting dry i usually just take a good handful of EQP recovery and put it on all my braids....i also try to keep my scalp oiled pretty well. that helps too.
