How do you bump a thread?

I want to bump a thread for more responses, can someone tell me how to do this

Well when you find the thread you want to want, just click on the post reply option and then type bump or bumping for so and so. That all ya do it brings it back to the top.

People do this to get the thread back up to the top of the list (hoping members to resond or give more responses).

Oh I see. so when a person bumps it makes the thread go back to the orignal comment in the thread. yes? Thanks, Allandra

It just places the thread back at the top of the list.
