How do you blend hair after twist out?

My twistout came out well but I to blend it to add volume and so that my scalp wont show. Any tips pretty please?

1. You can fluff it with your hands.

2. You can separate the twist out into smaller pieces for more volume.

3. If you have a pick, you can take the comb part of it & lift your hair from the roots.

Yes, these are the things that I do. Especially #3 I use a long rattail comb and just stick it into my roots and slightly pull up about 1 inch all over.

I do off center parts and I part my hair with my fingers instead of a comb. Less of my scalp shows when I do this and it looks a little more natural.

I do the first 2.

if i dont care about lookin wild, i'll flip my head over and just rub at my scalp and hte first inch or 2 of growth and when i flip back over i've got more volume.

Thanks for the ideas ladies. I have my hair twisted right now and was wondering how I was going to fix the parts once I do my twist-out.
