i need to know this one and i need to know what is the best shampoo or condtionor i must use for this cause i tried it once before and my head was full of shampoo i quess i done it all wrong. lol
Girl I finally washed my braids for the first time this weekend and it turned out great..no fuzz...First I covered my head with a stocking cap(the one you buy in a beauty supply store, not pantyhose), I a squeezed some shampoo into a plastic tumbler and filled the rest of the cup with water, I poured the mixture over my braids, I patted my braids to make sure mixture was evenly distributed over my entire head, I then rinsed with warm water and then cold. After that, I poured Infusium over my braids along with some braid spray, patted dry and that was it...
When i wash mine, I dilute my shampoo with water. More water than shampo and pour over the cornrows. Then i gently use the pads of my fingers to rub in between the rows. I don't use conditioner, because i have gotten buildup from that. Then i rinse. After that I take some of the worlds of curls gels and rub on the rows gently. making sure that it sinks in. Then i put on a durag, and go to bed. They are not fuzzy in the morning. I still get compliments on them and i have had them for 3 weeks. trying to stretch it to 4 weeks.
i like these methods i just normally wet my hair then put the shampoo between the braids and work it through. needless to say it alwys ends up a ratty frizzy mess!!!!!

I do this same thing except I don't use the stocking cap.
That's a great tip!
The diluted shampoo seems to work better than the Braid shampoo spray. I can never tell if I've applied the spray to all areas of my hair. Definately dilute. Kieron, what shampoo are you using. Make sure it doesn't contain harsh detergents like SLS because they create too many suds whch take forever to rinse out of your hair. And you don't want dried shampoo sitting in those braids.
