On my friends hair?? He's getting braids this weekend. What do I use and what type of tool should I use? I'm clueless on this.

As always, thanks again ladies. :)

I used to use a rubberband. I'd use a thin rubber band, slip my beads onto the band, so that it looke like a loop was at the end. Then slip the end of the braid through the loop and pull the beads up.

Geesh, I know that's probably difficult to envision. I'll see if I can find a picture.

Back in the day my mother use to use foil. Just take a small piece of aluminum foil and enclose the end of the braid forming a 'point' at the end. You should be able to slide the bead over the foil.

*Edited my mistypes*:look:

Thanks ladies,

I also heard o some rubberbands called "Blax" that I can use instead of the foil. Hmmm, I remember the foil from back in the day to. :)

Ohh pics would be great webby. :)

Thanks. :)

I bend a bobby pin so that it resembles a crochet hook. Then I place the hair in the bend (hold it in place) and slide the beads down the long end of the bobby pin and over the bend (and other end) of the bobby pin and onto the hair. Yet, again, confusing, I know.
I always used rubber bands to hold the ends and hid them under one of the beads.

I can't find a SINGLE picture, but I think your method is pretty easy. I used rubberbands to keep the beads in place too.
