i would say just make sure you moisturize it with a creamy moisturizer or serum before going out everyday.

i too have grown out a bob that wasn't long enough to be put up and now i am at the top of my brastrap.

try to protect your ends from your clothes by keeping it off your wool sweaters, coats, etc. anything scratchy can break hair. i got this really nice silk wool scarf from banana republic to guard against this or wore coats that were smooth materials like leather, nylon, fur, etc...

i hope this helps...i'm really trying to say since you cant put your ends up keep other things away that would hurt it. AND MOISTURIZE DAILY! maybe twice a day......

I would moisturize the ends 3 times a day - morning, after school/work, and then before bed. Monoi oil is a good ends moisturizer...it absorbs well so it's not greasy.

Maybe you can wear pretty scarves to protect your hair, also.

Definitely put a silk or satin scarf around the collar of your winter coat. That was some great advice my mom gave me.

I moisturize my ends with UBH Lotion Creme & top that with L'oreal Vive serum in the morning and before I wrap my hair up at night.

Adrienne turned me on to a product that she uses when she wears her hair down. It's called Avon dry ends serum. I ordered some a year ago (2 bottles) and I really like the stuff.
