How do I fix this yukky brown color from years of relaxing? Semi or Permanent?

Semi won't even touch the gray sections of my hair...its really resistant. Would it hurt to do a permanent black dye?

Most semis wouldn't do much for covering grays anyway. It wouldn't hurt to use black permanent, since you're not lightening so there isn't much risk of damage, so long as you use a GOOD brand of color.. Textures and Tones is the only good black brand I know of. I wouldn't recommend anything else unless it was done by a professional.

Are you looking to color your hair yourself? If so, I agree with candibaby that Texture & Tones would be a good brand of color to cover grays. I used it to color over a color mistake I made (yeah I know...too many chemicals). Anyways, if you are able to do it yourself then go ahead, however, if you don't know what you are doing, it's best to have a professional apply your color. HTH.
