How do I achieve this look?

Please DON't backcomb!:eek: There is another way to do this:):

You'll need a package or braiding hair. Section the front part of your hair that you want to "hump" and pin it awayfor now. Put the rest into a smooth pony tail. Then take some of the braid hair and make a smalll ball (kind of like stuffing a french roll..remember?). attach this to the crown of your head behind the section of hair w/ a bobby pin. Then, just take that section of hair in the front and cover the ball of hair w/ it. Just make sure that the ball of braid hair isn't too big to cover w/ your real hair. Shape as desired and pin into place, you can add a little hair spray to hold if needed. Then all you need is a drawsrting ponytail for the length and also to cover the pinned back hair.
