how can one minimize the negative effects medication has on hair?

I know a lot of people here take medication regularly, including myself, and I was wondering what are some definite things I can do to minimize any negative effects the medication can have on my hair.

right now i am taking blood pressure medicine and obviously getting healthier so i no longer have to take the medication is ideal but that won't happen within a day or two. currently i haven't noticed anything different about my hair or scalp but I figure I should ask now so I know how to prevent things from going south with my hair

If you take medicine please post what changes (if any ) happened to your hair and how you were able to retify those changes.

By not taking the meds.. that is my only solution.
