All i can say is ive tried and they just looked disguting I was really gentle and everything but they still looked like id had them a couple months. At the moment all i do is lightly splash water on them the wipe my scalp but even then it still looks messy so the du rag goes sraight on
I usually use these tips when I'm wearing braid extensions.
*Try to manipulate them as LESS as possible
*Don't use the traditional technique of scrubbing with your finger tips. Just apply cleanser to scalp and hair (perferably with a spray bottle) and then rinse by pouring the water throughout your hair (pouring at the napp of your neck) using a cup or a hair hoes (not sure if that's what you call it).
*Don't towel dry using traditional techniques either. You can just simply mat the hair gently to control the 'drippes' and then let it air dry. Spray or apply your moisturizers while it's still wet, seal the moisture, and tie your hair down with a silk or satin scarf. It'll probably look a tad bit 'worn' ..but your hair and scalp with thank you, and you'll have a lot of shine
I wanted to know this too since I wear cornrows most of the time....I ususally wait until I take out my braids which I keep for 3-5 weeks! I'm going to try the seabreeze on my scalp...
