I would suggest pouring warm (very warm) chamomile tea (or just very warm water if you don't want to try the tea, but I recommend tea) over your scalp while gently massaging, lightly shampooing with a gentle shampoo, rinising, then rubbing vitamin E only into it gently. Afterward, relax (lie down) with a warm towel over your head. Make yourself some tea to drink and try not to scratch it. If you must, do it very gently. A pain killer/anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen (Motrin) may also help. Chamomile soothes irritation. I hope this helps :) If this keeps happening however, you may need to see a doctor. Let me know ;)

Try putting some tea tree oil on your scalp, Shatani. It really helps when my scalp is sore and itchy. :)

I too suggest putting tea tree oil on your scalp. Pour some on a q-tip and spot treat your scalp then wrap your head with a warm towel so that it penetrates into the scalp.
I am doing this right now and it feels so good...especially on those itchy spots. Good Luck and hope you feel better!

Tea Tree oil works great too, but I am curious. Won't the tea tree oil burn if the scalp is already irritated? Or maybe I read it wrong. Is your scalp irritated Shatani?

im not really sure what the deal is....the front of my hair is a problem area, lots of breakage and historically, i havent treated the area very well....right now its very tender to the touch and it hurts when i scratch.....

i actually just washed my hair a couple of hours ago, so, its too late for the chamomile rinse....but i will try that next time....but in the shower (and i like it hot!) my scalp didnt burn, as it has a couple of times before when i scratched it too much...so, i know the skin isnt broken....i dunno what the deal is, but i do have some tea tree oil that i can put on there....

ill have to get some of that when i go to the store....although the only sulfur 8 spray ive seen is braid spray...is that the stuff i should be getting?

No, it won't burn. It'll be very soothing.

what did you wash your hair with? maybe it has an ingredient in the shampoo (if noo-poo, conditioner) that causes your scalp to itch. i would use something that has tea tree oil or sulfur in it to sooth the itching scalp.

oh, my scalp was like this before i washed it.....but i know that the skin is not broken because when the water hit it in the shower it was soothing not burning....
