HOW CAN I FULLY RESTORE MY HAIRLINE

You ladies understand. And it's so distressing because your edges are the first thing you, and other people see.

I recently tried Biotin because someone said it would help my edges grow back; but by the 3rd 5000mcg capsule, it had broken my skin out something fierce with cystic acne! And now that's another issue...

And I know it was the Biotin because it was the only thing I added and I never get pimples.

Lol! The things we endure for our hair.

Angelface

Maybe you should try and build up to the 5000 Biotin. That might help with the acne, but you need to drink lots of water apparently.

But you just have to be patient with whatever growth aid you use. But just make sure you keep them moisturised and stimulated.

I'm realizing that patience is key. I didn't lose edges overnight; so I can't expect it to grow back Overnight. I'm just conscious of it; and it makes me more conscious when people ask me about it.

But I drink my 8 glasses of water daily, so I figured maybe I have to slow the biotin. I'll discontinue for now and maybe resume with 1000mcg and work my way up in dosage when I get my face clear again.

I have experienced problems with my edges ever since a bad relaxer in 2006 that resulted in bad burns. The scalp in that area periodically develops sores and hurts, leading to shedding and hair loss. Recently in the past couple of months I have started to grow the spot out. I've stopped wearing tight wigs, started to use all natural pomades (Camille rose ajani, Darcys eucalyptus, etc) and have been using a tea spritz to calm my scalp. You can also try sulfur but I find that when my scalp is inflamed it makes my scalp hurt more and increases shedding. You have great growth already!

Thanks so much for sharing Myronnie! I'm so happy for you that you started to grow your edges out :)
My edges are coming along, but there are still A spot or two that still are bare and haven't responded at all.

I supposed I just need to exercise some consistency with my regimen and patience.

There are so many good suggestions here, but I'll add my own. I used over the counter cortisol spray and cream on my balding area. Cortisol does relieve swelling and calm irritation in your follicles. I know that the dermatologist would probably suggest giving you cortisol shots in your problem areas. I just didn't want to get injections in my scalp....I'm not a fan of shots period.

It'll take a couple of months, but your body will get use to the biotin and you wouldn't have any more breakouts. I'm speaking from my own experiences.

I remember waaaaay back in the day, people boosting that mega tek hoove and mane rebuilder helped with problem areas, but I never stuck with it. The stuff smelt really nice, and the bottle is somewhere collecting dust.

Hi Willow

What OTC spray did you get?

Did it work for you?

Thanks

^I just got the store brand cortisol spray. If I couldn't find a spray, I used the store brand cortisol cream. Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Target, and so on. I just used the store brand.
