how are texturizer users actually texturizing?

1. How long are you leaving it on for?
2. Are you using actual texturizer or actual relaxer?
3. are you smoothing at all? And if so when? the whole time or some part of the time?
4. are you using hands? fingers? or combs(big teeth or little teeth or back of comb) for smoothing?
5.Are you parting in 4, , or how many sections?
6. How do you make sure you get perfect results every touch up? Not over processin or underprocessing a section?

can you over dilute with conditioners or oils to the point where you are leaving it on too long to get the results you want.

i'm just getting feedback - i'm still transitioing naturally for now - i think.

Hey, I wanna know too! I got my first texturizer done at a salon with Rosci texturizer. I am now 3 1/2 months post, and really need to touch up my tighter and thicker new growth. My hair looks just like my natural hair with more hang time, and I love it. Yet, I want a more looser curl so I am considering using a relaxer.

I used to texturize. Did it for about 7-8 months. Photos in my fotki

1. How long are you leaving it on for? 20 minuts
2. Are you using actual texturizer or actual relaxer?JFM texture softener
3. are you smoothing at all?just apply with fingers - if you smooth you'll loose the curl pattern And if so when? the whole time or some part of the time?
4. are you using hands? always ONLY use fingers, if you use a comb, you'll loose the curl patternfingers? or combs(big teeth or little teeth or back of comb) for smoothing?NEVER USE A COMB!! I did this and part of my hair was straight and the rest was curly. It was too late by the time I realized what I did wrong
5.Are you parting in 4, , or how many sections?no, just applied in sections. my hair was too short to part in sections. when it got longer, I did part in sections
6. How do you make sure you get perfect results every touch up?don't use a comb, work quickly, start in different sections each time. Not over processin or underprocessing a section?

can you over dilute with conditioners or oils to the point where you are leaving it on too long to get the results you want.don't know
